First Navy Flight Nurse on a Pacific Battlefield
This is a very short book - a pamphlet, really - that I got at the Admiral Nimitz Museum bookshop. It's replica of Lieutenant Gill DeWitt's handwritten story about Ensign Jane Kendieh's flight to Iwo Jima. There are also a lot of photos. The ones on the flight seem very staged, but the post-battle shots are more gripping (although her hair and make-up never look less than perfect). Still, it's a cool addition to my WWII collection.
